Between Pastors!

Mt. Olive congregation is currently between pastors.  Our former pastor, Pastor Carl Henkel, after serving as our pastor since 1985, has accepted a call to serve as the pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL. 

Pastor Kenneth Gast has been called to serve as the interim or vacancy pastor here at Mt. Olive during the time that the congregation calls for a new full time pastor.

Pastor Gast, who grew up in Kiel, WI, is now retired, and he and his wife Roberta (“Bobbie”) live in Woodbury and are members of Christ Lutheran Church in North St. Paul.

Pastor Gast began his ministry at Hope Lutheran in Belvidere, IL (where our former pastor is now the pastor,) and then served at St. Paul’s in Tomah, WI and Eastside in Madison, WI.
